Hi Friend!
Let’s talk about SLEEP, shall we? 😴 I want to start with a quick poll - because man, I love a poll…
Oftentimes, ADHDers tend to struggle with sleep in a few different ways:
Difficulty falling asleep
Delayed Sleep - Onset Insomnia
Restless Sleep
Unable to maintain regular sleep routine
So, what’s the connection here??
Many researchers have linked ADHD to a higher likelihood of Circadian Rhythm Disorders. While they are separate conditions, they can sometimes coexist or have overlapping symptoms. CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) has put together a short but helpful PDF about ADHD and sleep disorders - you can find that HERE.
If you have ADHD and you've often struggled with sleep, you’ll want to tune in to this week's podcast episode featuring Sleep Expert & Behavior Coach, Nicole Shallow. Join us as we talk all about this along with some tips to help you get a better night's rest.
✨PRO TIP✨
Something that I’m enjoying recently is the Endel app at bedtime. Endel creates personalized, functional soundscapes to help people focus, relax, and sleep. They take inputs from your movement, time of day, weather, heart rate, location, and other factors. I love it so much that I reached out to them to partner and now you can try it out for FREE for a month!
A few other exciting updates:
We’re wrapping up our FIRST EVER book club over on ADHD Social, and we’re going out with a BANG!💥There’s still time to sign up to join us for a Live Q&A with Tamara Rosier, Author of Your Brain’s Not Broken on Thursday June 1st! Signing up for the book club will give you access to our NEXT BOOK CLUB SERIES that will start in July!
BUT ALSO!!!…
I’m soooo excited to share a sneak peek of what I’ve been working on diligently behind the scenes over here at My Lady ADHD! Pre-sales for ADHD Affirmation Cards will start in June - but I just couldn’t hold this in much longer. So, TA-DA!! ✨
STAY TUNED!
Have a fabulous week, friend. Thanks for being here!
xoxo,
Trina
